Rosemary is a shrubby evergreen flowering shrub that can grow up to four feet high. The Egyptians, Hebrews, Greeks, and the Romans considered this precise herb sacred. In the Middle Ages, people said that this herb was used to ward off evil spirits.Even used as a shield against the plague. Today this herb is used in many different ways.

Rosemary helps with a range of things from congestion or respiratory tract troubles to stiff muscles. The herb oil can boost the memory and help the liver and gall bladder. Is known to help with headaches, migraines, neuralgia, mental fatigue, and nervous exhaustion. It is known to help with relieving pain linked to rheumatism, arthritis, muscular pain, and swelling. It has an astringent action, making it very effective for countering sagging skin.

Using Rosemary

Fresh rosemary is an excellent source of Vitamins A and C, iron, calcium, folate and manganese. Also is a good source of vitamins. The leaves and flowers can be used in many different dishes. It has quite a strong flavor so use with care. Add it to potatoes, finely chopped leaves to soups, sauces, salads, or pasta. Onions sauteed with rosemary makes a delicious stir fry.
